Chiropractic for the Athlete

How can an athlete benefit from chiropractic care? Below is an outline-type of format to help answer this question.

1) The nervous system controls every cell in the body

2) Subluxation prevents proper communication between the brain and body

3) Subluxation is potential energy that is stored in muscle, connective tissue, or bone (joint).

4) If communication is not 100% between the brain and body (less than 100% communication can be caused by subluxation), 100% function of the body can’t be obtained

5) *When subluxation is removed, then proper nerve flow, blood flow, hand-eye coordination, muscle strength, and many other positive results follow.

Imagine what would happen if an athlete had maximal hand-eye coordination, muscle strength, stamina, etc. (it could make the difference in a win or loss for the team and/or individual). For example, what would happen if an Olympic swimmer improved their time by just one tenth of a second; or if a baseball player threw the ball just 3 mph faster? These previous two examples can come about from one chiropractic adjustment.

6) Who are trained to detect and remove subluxation?

Chiropractors

7) How is subluxation removed?

Through the chiropractic adjustment

8) Do chiropractic adjustments require popping and twisting?

No, there are ways to adjust without popping and twisting.

9) Will I be pressured or given fear-based reasons to continue chiropractic care?

No
